John Pollard Seddon attributed
Probably made by C. Seddon in collaboration with Kenton & Co., a well-designed architectural Gothic Revival oak upholstered nursing or low chair with ebonised circular decoration throughout and stylised floral details to the front rail and to the tops of the front legs.
(See Victorian and Edwardian Furniture and Interiors by Jeremy Cooper, page 88, for a sideboard with many identical features to this chair). The buffet in image 2 has sold.
