An Anglo-Japanese ebonised and inlaid coffee table with an upper wrap round stretcher and macassar ebony panel inset with an inlaid boarder to the lower shelf. This version of the coffee table Godwin originally designed for his own use is slightly bigger. The upper wrap round stretcher may have been introduced by Collinson and Lock. See Soros Pg. 147 Pl. 212.
