A Gothic Revival Oak Davenport

Attributed to A. W. N. Pugin, this Gothic Revival Oak Davenport has a finely executed carved gallery to the top and a sloping writing area opening to reveal storage and pigeonholes to the back, with Quatrefoil and Trefoil carving below.

The lower front and sides have fine linenfold carving and carved floral decoration, with carved initials 'MS A' to the back. The side cupboard door with further linenfold carved detail opens to reveal four graduated full-width drawers.

The forward feet, with further carved floral decoration, all stand on inset cup castors.
