WL 3 & GW Ex 6d - Stunning Arts & Crafts bedroom suite consisting of treble wardrobe, dressing table, washstand & a pair of bedside cabinets by Harris Lebus in the Glasgow Style. The wardrobe with flaring cornice full length central mirror flanked by 2 further doors with wonderful stylised floral copper panels & stylised copper strap hinges & handles opening to reveal plenty of drawer space to the right & double hanging space to the left. The dressing table with conforming metal work 2 upper shelves with 2 jewelry drawers below & 3 large drawers below on ring turned legs. The washstand with fantastic tiles, marbel top with a pair of cupboards below & on ring turned legs. The pair of matching bedside cupboards again with conforming metalwork also on ring turned legs. (It's almost impossible to find matching bedside cupboards let alone still with their original suite). Height 81", Depth of Cornice 26", Length of cornice 83", Dressing table Height 57 1/2", Width 48", Depth 23", Washstand Height 47", Width 36", Depth 19", Bedside cupboards Height 30", Width 19", Depth 16". WL 4 - A stunning Shapland & Petter Oak bedroom pair NOW with matching double bed.
Although the bed is made from Mahogany it can be stripped & refinished to almost the same colour as the wardrobe & dressing table. (I will sell seprately)
The treble wardrobe with flaring cornice & central bevelled mirror door surmounted by 3 copper hearts flanked by 2 further doors with sensational stylised Glasgow Rose copper panels & 3 section panels below with stylised copper hinges & twin drawers below on plinth base. The dressing table with central bevelled mirror flanked by elongated uprights with capped tops & stylised Glasgow Rose copper panels below & bow fronted drawers below those with open area & stylised ying yang cut outs to the back with open areas & large open area below the mirror & full length drawer to the base on oblong feet. Both with angular copper handles surmounted by hearts. Circa 1900. £POA.

WL 5 - A fantastic Arts & Crafts Oak treble wardrobe by in the Glasgow Style Shapland & Petter, flaring cornice with tremendous stylised floral copper panel just below the cornice that has a subtle shaped bracket just above which actually just slides down into place before one puts the cornice on, conforming stylised floral copper panel's to each side door which both break forward from the central door giving the piece its truly amazing form with bevelled mirror opening to reveal upper cubby hole with drawers below with superb hand formed copper handles & hinges. Another example typical of S&P superior design & quality. Circa 1900. Height 7', Width of cornice 81", Depth of cornice 26". A PERFECT DESIGN. £POA.

WL 6 - Wonderful Oak Arts and Crafts treble wardrobe & Dressing table by Shapland & Petter, with superb Enamel Hearts to doors & dressing table & quality stylised brass handles. Wardrobe Height 82", Width of cornice 77", Depth of cornice 21". Dressing Table Height 5' 3 1/2" Width 43 1/2" Depth 20". Circa 1900. Shapland & Petter were one of the top commercial manufacturers of the period supplying many pieces to Liberty & Co, they were without a doubt one of the top commercial producers of superior quality Arts & Crafts furniture. £POA.

WL 7 - A fantastic Shapland & Petter wardrobe with domed top & conformin dome top door with full length bevelled mirror & lower full length drawer, the whole inlaid with a variety of diamond & chequerboard inlay & copper handles. C1900. Height 88", Width 48", Depth 19 1/4". £2395.

WL 9 - A top quality Wardrobe & matching dressing table by Harris Lebus with flaring cornice, stylised decorative copper hoods above 'A' framed leaded glass lights & a full length bevelled mirror door & a large deep drawer below with wonderful heart shaped handles. WL 10 - A top quality Arts & Crafts oak treble wardrobe by Shapland & Petter with central mirrored door flanked by 2 further doors with wonderful stylised floral carvings to the top & below the flaring cornice the doors opening to reveal double hanging space & a bank of drawers to one side & drawers below. WL 12 - A Mahogany & Rosewood Arts & crafts bedroom trio designed by EA TAYLOR yet made by SHAPLAND & PETTER. This set proves without doubt that S&P made furniture to the designs of EA Taylor but probably under licence to Wylie & Lochhead. The drawer from the dressing table & the large bottom drawer from the wardrobe are both stamped EA Taylor & the drawers have the tiny machine made dovetails unique to S&P & the locks are stamped S&P.B. It also has a Wylie & Lochhead ivorene label to the inside of the door. The trio is also without doubt in his style, the swooping Swallow & the V at the center of the base & Taylors little V below the dressing table drawer the heart to the back. Circa 1903. Wardrobe width of cornice 44", depth 18", height 83". Dressing table width 42", depth 19", height 69". £POA.

WL 13 - A fabulous 4 piece bedroom suite of superior quality by Wylie & Lochhead the design attributed to E A Taylor consisting of double wardrobe, Dressing table, Wash stand & 4' 6" double bed. Fantastic metal work thoughout, original brass candle caps to the DT, Celtic cutouts to the DT & WS, elongated hearts to the bed, wonderful conforming cornices all with dental detailing. It is very difficult to find bedroom suites which still have their beds. Circa 1900. Wardrobe Height 75", Depth of cornice 21", Width of cornice 53 1/2", Dressing table Height 57", Depth 20", Width 42", Washstand Height 43", Depth 20", Width 50", Double Bed 4' 6" wide, Headboard Height 43". WL 14 - A top quality Glasgow School Arts & Crafts oak treble wardrobe in the manner of M.H.Ballie Scott possibly by Goodhall, Lambs & Heighway with Ebony & Walnut stylised floral inlays very much in his style to the cornice & further leaf style inlays to the door tops & bottoms & to the tops of the lower drawers. It has a central bevelled mirror door flanked by 2 further doors which angle back towards the centre & glazed upper sections with Moorish details behind copper lattice work panels & quality copper handles pierced with inverted hearts. These handles were used on some Morris & Co furniture & I have had a variation of the Norman Shaw chair similar to the ones designed by him for the Tabard Inn that were retailed by Morris & Co images 8,9,10,11 & 12. Circa 1890. £POA. For information only the last 5 images are of matching pieces I have had in the past but now sold which were part of this suite they show a matching pair of chairs & a matching Tripod table. Oh & never bet on a greyhound called Tripod !

WL - A stunning Arts & Crafts oak bedroom pair by Harris Lebus with graduated flaring cornice with shaped supports, single full length mirror to the door flanked by decorative green glass squares & stylised copper hinges & wonderful latch style copper handle. The angular base with full length drawer & copper heart shaped handles. Height 84", Width of cornice 54", Depth of cornice 25 1/2".
The dressing table with conforming graduated cornice with swinging mirror & a small shelf below & a pair of jewelry drawers below that with 5 further drawers all with heart shaped handles & conforming angular base. Height 64", Depth 22 1/2, Width 42". Circa 1900. £SOLD.

WL - A stunning Harris Lebus bedroom trio consisting of 3/4 inverted wardrobe with elongated uprights with capped tops & crescent cut-out to the centre top with full length mirror flanked by stylised floral copper panels & stylised copper latch style handle with corresponding copper strap opposite & large drawer to the base on turned feet. The dressing table with corresponding elongated uprights surmounted with capped tops swivel mirror with crescent cut-outs to each side & central lower shelf with drop down flap with stylised copper handel & hinges & large lower drawer with turn legs. The bedside cabinet with stylised floral copper panel & copper ring pull handle & turned legs. Circa 1900. £SOLD.
