ST 4 - A stunning Gothic Revival side table attributed to John Henry Chamberlain & made by Pluknett & Steevens who later became Collier & Pluknett & they were still producing this table design as I have had one with a Collier & Pluknett label on so this is a very early one & the best looking sidetable that they produced with wonderful proportions & when one stands a little away from it, it has a stunning look with that superbly muscular Gothic Revival undercarriage with all the refinement of a wonderful design. Collier & Pluknett were a very high end company who had premises in Warick & they produced some amazing Gothic Revival pieces & many exhibition pieces always of a superior quality. coincidently the young Ambrose Heal served his apprenticeship with them from 1890 to 1893 just before he started designing for Heals. ST 6 - A good quality oak side table attributed Collier & Plunkett with ring turned legs united by 3 lower stretchers with bevelled edge terminating at a birds beak end details, tramline detail to the sides & half circle & dot details to the lower edge & a large sphere to the top with turned detail & a corrisponding smaller sphere to the base on turned feet. ST 9 - A rare Moorish/Anglo Japanese Liberty & Co Walnut sidetable with Musharabieh turnings to 4 opposite corners & Moorish arches between with turned bobbins to each side & further Moorish arches to the other opposite 2 sides, square tapering legs with turned details to the upper section united by lower shelf with conforming moorish arches. ST 19 - A wonderful Arts & Crafts 1/4 sawn Oak sidetables in the style of E A Taylor probably made by Wylie & Lochhead with stylised cut-outs to each side & lower shelf. Superior design & quality. Circa 1900. Height 26", Width 22", Depth 16". A PERFECT DESIGN. £SOLD. I have another matched pair almost identical to this one the only difference is that they don't have the arched skirt under the table top see sidetables page 2, ST 22.

ST 23 - Walnut side table after a design by E. W. Godwin Circa 1875. Priced at £895. (I come across this table from time to time in Walnut or ebonised. The original versions by William Watt come up infrequently if you are interested please contact me with your requirements.

ST - A wonderful Arts & Crafts Mahogany sidetable with Mother of Pearl & fruitwood inlays to the top by Goodhall Lambs & Heighway. Lambs of Manchester were one of the top 3 cabinet makers of Artistic furniture working from 1840 to 1899 when they merged with Goodhall & Heighway in 1899. Height 26" & the top 18" square. ST - Oak arts & crafts large sidetable made by Gnomeman, who was an apprentice to Robert Thompson Mouseman, their furniture is quite unique because they both made furniture with an Adze, which leaves a very slight ripple effect to the surface of the wood. Circa 1910. Height 29" Width 19 1/2" Length 45". £SOLD.
