£SOLD. An exceptional L&Co Tudric box with a stunning Pre- Raphaelite Maiden executed in Enamel with electrifying colours. Stamped 0586 to the base. Circa 1904-05.
Representations of the human figure are very very rare in Liberty Tudric wares especially pre-Raphaelite Maidens, there is an identical version on page 30 of 'Liberty Style' by Mervyn Levy.

A pair of Arts & Crafts garden/indoor floor planters made by LeftCo Leeds Faience or Leeds Fireclay Company. When they were made one could buy these separately with or without the stands.

One has a very tiny hairline from the original firing as shown in the last image of the first line which has never moved, & a few tiny nibbles which one can see in the other images.

MW L&Co 6
A wonderful terracotta jardinere designed by Archibald Knox for Liberty & Co & made by Mary Seton Watts the wife of the famous painter Watts. This is one of the 1st designs by Knox a superb simple & perfect celtic knot inspired from ancient celtic crosses where he grew up on the Isle of Man. Mary won awards for her incrediable work from the Royal Botanical Society (Gold) & The Royal Horticultural society (Silver).
