We have now completed the extension on the back of the Old Post Office. The first picture shows the ungainly 1970's extension to the rear of The Old Post Office before we started work & the following pictures show the progress in stages as it was being built, from replacing the old unsympathetic windows on the ground floor with sash windows copied from the originals also made for the new 1st floor right up to the lower lefthand roof design which incorporates a subtle change in angle gaining maximum height in the main entrance door. Within the main build I fitted a new conservatory & period tiled garden enclosure with raised beds & extensive planting to the rear of the property.
The extension has added a further apartment with two bedrooms on the first floor, a twin bedroom & a double which has an ensuite shower. On the ground floor the bathroom has been refurbished with an original Victorian roll top bath & period style pedestal sink with original Victorian tiled wall . The new kitchen is large spacious & fully equipped with a slate floor & feature lighting system designs with ample room for dining or study. The original lounge has had the fireplace replaced & now opens into the 14' conservatory with it's own private garden & entrance. The
