GW Ex 1d - A stunning Arts & Crafts stained wood & Gesso cabinet designed by Edwin B. Joliffe which won a competition at the Liverpool School of Art in 1899/1900 with superb Glasgow stylised floral Gesso & Burlap details, the motto reads:- 'SAFE BIND SAFE FIND', Stunning unique piece of exhibition quality. This actual piece is illustrated in the Studio Year book volume 19 page 133 image attached & an image of a wall cabinet which is also by Joliffe. Circa 1899/1900. Measurements Height 29', Width 47 1/2", Depth 20 1/2". £POA.

GW Ex 2d - A fantastic Shapland & Petter wardrobe with domed top & conformin dome top door with full length bevelled mirror & lower full length drawer, the whole inlaid with a variety of diamond & chequerboard inlay & copper handles. C1900.

GW Ex 3d - A fantastic quality Glasgow School Oak treble wardrobe designed by EA Taylor & made by Wylie & Lochhead with incredible flaring sculptured
cornice that curves upwards & out & the sweetest protruding top centre
detail, central full length mirror flanked by 2 further doors with stylised
floral carved panels to the upper parts, all 3 doors opening to reveal
hanging space with 2 large drawers below & sweeping arched base with twin
heart cut-outs to the corners, the whole detail of the sweep is just set back
as if carved in & really quite subtle with corresponding upturned detail to
the lower centre emulating the top centre cornice detail, the whole
wardrobe is on flat feet with lower arched details to the sides & wonderful
copper handles with repousse hearts to the back plates. I think its an
incredible pure Glasgow School design one of the best by Taylor. Circa 1900. Height 7' 3/4", Depth 22 1/2", Width 5' 7". £POA.

GW Ex 4d - A superb Glasgow School, enamel white painted folding screen with wonderful leaded glass top. Silver Studio fabric, somewhat perished which would need to be replaced, the best of the original fabric could be rescued & framed. Screen & Glass design attributed to EATaylor probably made by Wylie & Lochhead & retailed by L&Co. Height 75 1/2", Width 51 1/2". Circa 1900. £1500.

GW Ex 6d - Stunning Arts & Crafts bedroom suite consisting of treble wardrobe, dressing table, washstand & a pair of bedside cabinets by Harris Lebus in the Glasgow Style. The wardrobe with flaring cornice full length central mirror flanked by 2 further doors with wonderful stylised floral copper panels & stylised copper strap hinges & handles opening to reveal plenty of drawer space to the right & double hanging space to the left. The dressing table with conforming metal work 2 upper shelves with 2 jewelry drawers below & 3 large drawers below on ring turned legs. The washstand with fantastic tiles, marbel top with a pair of cupboards below & on ring turned legs. The pair of matching bedside cupboards again with conforming metalwork also on ring turned legs. (It's almost impossible to find matching bedside cupboards let alone still with their original suite). Height 81", Depth of Cornice 26", Length of cornice 83", Dressing table Height 57 1/2", Width 48", Depth 23", Washstand Height 47", Width 36", Depth 19", Bedside cupboards Height 30", Width 19", Depth 16". GW Ex 7d - Stunning Arts & Crafts treble wardrobe by Liberty & Co with flaring pyramidal cornice full length central mirror, wonderful stylised copper work inset with Ruskin Jewels & stylised copper handles with plenty of drawer & hanging space. GW Ex 8d - A fantastic Shapland & Petter 5 piece bedroom suite probably one of the most expensive suites they produced at the time & of course Argentina was the richest country in the world at that time due to their enormous beef exports so they certainly had the money to purchase the very best of the best.
The complete suite so very rare to find in this country consisting of treble wardrobe, dressing table, 3' bed & 2 matching bedside cabinets with fantastic glasgow school rose inlays & vivid purple & golden enamels to the robe doors & dressing table mirrors. Wylie & Lochhead commissioned S&P to manufacture their own in house designs some of which are almost certainly designed by E.A.Taylor this particular set has all the trade marks of Taylor at work. C1900. £POA.

GW Ex 10d - A fabulous 4 piece bedroom suite of superior quality by Wylie & Lochhead the design attributed to E A Taylor consisting of double wardrobe, Dressing table, Wash stand & 4' 6" double bed. Fantastic metal work thoughout, original brass candle caps to the DT, Celtic cutouts to the DT & WS, elongated hearts to the bed, wonderful conforming cornices all with dental detailing. It is very difficult to find bedroom suites which still have their beds. Circa 1900. GW Ex 11d - A top quality, superb double oak wardrobe in the Glasgow Style by Harris Lebus fantastic Glasgow Style inlays to each side. The flaring cornice with angled brackets below & full length bevelled mirror to the door with good quality hand formed copper handles & single deep drawer below with conforming handles. Circa 1898. Height 7', Depth of Cornice 25 1/2", Width of Cornice 61 1/2". £SOLD. GW Ex 14d - An Arts & Crafts Oak double wardrobe & dressing table made by Harry Lebus in the Glasgow Style with flaring cornice & a wonderful copper panel to top depicting a Galleon at sea, with 2 doors below one with a full length bevelled mirror both opening to reveal good hanging space with further storage to the pair of drawers to the base with square fretted Glasgow style copper handles. The dressing table with a central swivel mirror flanked by stylised floral fretted details to the uprights & candle shelves just below & another central shelve flanked by jewelry drawers with 2 over 2 large drawers to the base. The images do not do this justice & the true colour of the pair can be seen in the very last 2 images. Circa 1900. Wardrobe height 85", width to cornice 58", depth 19", dressing table width 42", depth 21". £POA.

GW Ex 15d - A fantastic Arts & Crafts Oak treble wardrobe in the Glasgow Style by Shapland & Petter, flaring cornice with tremendous stylised floral copper panel just below the cornice that has a subtle shaped bracket just above which actually just slides down into place before one puts the cornice on, conforming stylised floral copper panel's to each side door which both break forward from the central door giving the piece its truly amazing form with bevelled mirror opening to reveal upper cubby hole with drawers below with superb hand formed copper handles & hinges. Another example typical of S&P superior design & quality. Circa 1900. Height 7', Width of cornice 81", Depth of cornice 26". A PERFECT DESIGN. £POA.

GW Ex 16d - Another fantastic Arts & Crafts Ash treble wardrobe & matching dressing table in the Glasgow Style by Shapland & Petter, the wardrobe has flaring cornice with tremendous stylised floral copper panel just below the cornice that has a subtle shaped bracket just above which actually just slides down into place before one puts the cornice on, conforming stylised floral copper panel's to each side door which both break forward from the central door giving the piece its truly amazing form with bevelled mirror opening to reveal further hanging space below with superb hand formed copper handles & hinges, the dressing table has elongated double mirror supports with conforming copper panels to each side heart cutouts below & 2 small drawers to the top, 2 larger drawers over 1 large one with shaped under rail. Another example typical of S&P superior design & quality. Circa 1900. Wardrobe Height 7', Width of cornice 81", Depth of cornice 26". Dressing table Height 64", Width 4', Depth 22". A PERFECT DESIGN. £SOLD. The main picture of the wardrobe has not come out so well if you look at the close ups they give a true view of the condition & finish which is mint.
